LCBA Alliance in Brazil: BOWE-HOLDING and Recap Energy

BOW-E Holding, as part of the Bolt Energia Group, is the group company in charge of purchasing and trading renewable energy generated in Brazil for sale to end users. Bolt´s corporate strategy aims to increase the share of renewable energy (solar photovoltaic) in its energy portfolio.

Recap Finance AB is a Swedish provider of energy as a service solution. They have developed a solid track record of projects in Sweden, Spain, Colombia, and India, and are now looking to expand in Brazil, with a total forecasted pipeline +20 new energy leasing solutions to become operational until 2023.

The project:

The objective of the project is to allocate 1 micro solar photovoltaic plant of 75 kWp. The European company Recap Energy AB will own the solar power plant, which will be built by the Brazilian integrator Canmar Brasil Ltda. who will enter a yearly lease contract with the energy trader BOW-E HOLDING. The technology used for this project will be photovoltaic equipment, including: the mounting system, the PV support structure, solar panels mounted on supporting structures made of aluminum profiles and stainless-steel fasteners, driven piles, helical piles, earth-screws, and ballasted foundations.

Environmental impact:

  • The plant is expected to reduce emissions in 14,72 TCO2 equiv. / year.
  • Production of 116,250 kWh of renewable energy per year.
